Myrtle Beach is just a pleasant four hour drive from Savannah Lakes Village. It offers a host of excellent restaurants, great retail stores and outlet shopping, not to mention all the fantastic golf courses to choose from. It is a great place to go for a long weekend or vacation with family and friends. We often go there for a week-end getaway. One of our annual trips is for the 16th Annual Mathews’ Myrtle Beach Men’s Golf Outing.
Last week this was held. The men had three warm, beautiful days for golf playing Black Bear, Crown Park and Beachwood.
A few of the wives tagged along, but not for golf as shopping was on our minds. The buys were sensational as everything seemed to be on sale, (On Sale, my favorite words!). Lunch was a blast with cocktails of course. By the time dinner came along, we still had not stopped laughing, bought everything we saw, and loved that the guys were on their own and not watching our charge cards. Eating was a second thought as cocktails took the main course. It is so much fun when the girls get to do their thing and the guys theirs.
The weather was warm and breezy. We spent a lot of time on the balcony overlooking the ocean. How can it get any better!
