Garden of the Month

304 Heather Point in the Magnolia area of Savannah Lakes Village is the address of an absolutely beautiful well-manicured and tastefully designed yard created by Mike and Toni Chandler.  The Chandlers moved to their home in 2003 and developed a landscape plan that works well for the terrain and animal invasions so prevalent in the community.  Included in their design are many pallets of North Carolina rock for a dry bed, white fan flowers, angelonia, abelia, barberry and deer resistant guara.  Directions to the Candler home:  From Hwy. 7 turn onto Palmetto Drive.  Turn right onto Cypress Drive.  Turn left on Willow Lane. Heather Point is the first right off Willow.  304 is the only home in the small cul-de-sac. Congratulations Mike and Toni!

Here are some photos of flowers just starting to come into bloom.

It is now June and our gardens are getting full of new blooms. I don’t think I have ever seen such depth of greens in the backyard due to so much rain. All of the flowers in my garden are in pots and get larger every year. Some are over twenty years old like my Peonies. IMG_2811
