Festival of Lessons and Carols

The Good Shepherd Church Choir will perform a ” Festival of Lessons and Carols ” on Dec. 15 at 4:00 PM. Please come and bring your friends. The performance will contain 9 Lessons with Carols in between. The Festival of Lessons and Carols has been done in Cambridge England at Kings College for almost 100 years. The Southern Performance Boats will be holding a 800 Ft. Boat Drag Racing event at Hickory Knob’s Cove on August 10, 2013, between the hours of 12:00 PM and 5:30 PM. July Fishing Report

Clarks Hill water levels are very high.  Striped and Hybrid Bass: Excellent.  Captain William Sasser (864-333-2000) reports that striper fishing is very strong on the lower 10 miles of the lake with lots of fish over 10 pounds being caught.  The best pattern has been fishing down lines 30-50 feet deep off points early in the morning.  Cut bait fishing is also working pretty well, but anglers need to anchor a bit deeper.  Some good […]
